It was director Indrajit Lankesh, who started the trend of casting directors to play the lead in films.
His film Aishwarya saw directors like Upendra, Sadhu Kokila, Omprakash Rao play the lead roles. Recently, Prem Adda saw directors like Prem, Murali Manohar, V Manohar donning the actor;s hat in the movie.
The next film to join the league is Sadhu Kokila's Guerilla. The film will see 25 directors playing different characters. Director M N Murthy has managed to rope in some of the top directors of the industry including Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, Sadhu Kokila, Nagashekar, Omprakash Rao, SV Rajendra Singh Babu and Priya Hassan for the film.
Apart from the 25 directors, the film will also see Lucky Shankar, Murugan and Naveen in lead roles.
