The film Tony just got a bit more special. Puneeth has recorded a song for the masala film whose soundtrack has been scored by Sadhu Kokila. The film stars Srinagar Kitty and Aindrita Ray.

Speaking at the audio release of the film, Kokila said, “Tony’s story is a medley of so many elements that I too used a variety sounds for the songs. When I composed Pakka Paapi Naanu Paapa Maduvenu Swarga Nannadu Naraka Nannadu (penned by Yograj Bhat)I was keen that Puneeth Rajkumar lend his voice to it. In fact, even its composition was done with Puneeth in mind.

“Puneeth might have sung a few songs before, but this will be a completely bold and punchy number unlike anything he has attempted before.”

Raghu Dixit has a special number in Tony too. The singer features in its picturisation as well. Other singers for Tony include V Harikrishna, Sonu Nigam, M D Pallavi. Apart from Bhat, Jayanth Kaikini, Arasu Anthare and Jayatheertha are lyricists for the film. “We have introduced a new singer, Pragya, with this film. We waited almost six months for Shreya Goshal, hoping that she will sing the same song for us. But looks like the singer is now concentrating on her acting career now, and so Pragya got her chance. She was picked up from the talent hunt show - Voice of Bangalore.” Lucky girl.
