Mrudula is tweaking the craft of filmdom

Another model-turned actress, who has found fame in South,Mrudula Sathe, is now gearing up for the release of her debut in Kannada titled Padhe Padhe.

The actress, who stepped into films when she was 11, found her calling from the Telugu film world with Love 4 Ever opposite newbie Ranadeep with Deepika Padukone doing a cameo with a special song. “My Telugu film would have been my debut as a heroine if it was released on time. Since the film is getting delayed, Padhe Padhe will happen to be my first movie as a full-fledged actress,” she said.

Ask Mrudula about her first time experience working in Sandalwood and she says, “It was fantastic and I was made very comfortable on the sets. I had a good time. To top it, Padhe Padhe is already on popular charts because of good music and songs. The storyline is very simple and my role is endearing. You will fall in love with the character I play in this film,” she affirmed.For the actress who is all game for more opportunities in other languages has bagged a prominent role in a Bollywood film. “I am currently busy shooting for this Hindi film titled Ishqeria opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh along with Richa Chadda and other young actors. I have worked hard for it and I hope to continue doing a good job. Apart from this, there are discussions for a Tamil project, which I can speak only when it gets confirmed,” Mrudula said.

This young actress had got the taste of Bollywood at an early when she began acting as a child. “I was part of a Hindi film Armaan starring Amitabh Bachchan among others. I used to participate in various workshops at Prithvi Theatre which paved a way for a television show, Kya Masti, Kya Dhoom. At one point it was a new world to me but today I am grateful for the opportunities coming my way,” said Mrudula, who still feels nervous when she is in front of the camera. “It happens to me because I always want to give my best and on the other hand I am quite curious to know whether the director is happy,” she added. While she is pursuing her law degree, she said that she belongs to the glam world.

“I have auditioned for every commercial and films and got selected,” revealed this newbie who feels talent and luck is an important factor to face the arc lights.  “It is not like before when we had only few heroines. The social factors are different today and there is lot of competition with more actresses entering the industry every day. Thankfully, I had the flair and I am happy with my decision. Now I have to be prepared for the challenges ahead of me if I have to live up to the expectations,” she concluded.
