BANGALORE : The word 'Leader' as a title did create a small buzz in the Kannada industry when producer Tarun Shivappa announced his project with Shivarajkumar, which was titled as The Leader - Shivarajkumar. Prakash Jayaram recently announced his project with Sudeep which had also been tentatively titled as Leader. This sort of created a clash between two projects and two heroes as to who will claim the title.
However, in no time, the problem was solved as script writer Ajay Kumar gave away his previously trademarked title — Mass Leader, which he will now be the name of the film. Tarun says, "Ajay wanted to do a film with Shivarajkumar keeping Mass Leader as the title. Since the name 'Leader' was clashing with another hero's film, Ajay gave away the title to us for free of cost. The designing job with the new name is in process and it will be revealed very soon."
The matter was also discussed at the Chamber, who have cleared the title Mass Leader - Shivarajkumar. Now that the confusion has been cleared, we should now watch who will actually add weightage to the title 'Leader' on screen.
