It is indeed a good time for director Santhosh Ananddram. After tasting succes with Mr & Mrs Ramachari, the director has managed to convince a producer and director to give away a registered title which was held ‘stubbornly’ for over 15 years.

According to the latest buzz floating in Gandhinagar, the title Rajakumara, registered by producer and distributor Ramu has now been given ‘as a gesture of respect to Rajkumar and his family’. An NOC (No objection certificate) has reached the Chamber and the title will be given to Vijay Kiragandur, the producer of the film, to be directed by Santhosh.

Confirming the development, Ramu says, “For the last 15 years, I had kept the prestigious title Rajakumara with me, hoping to do a film in that name. Producer Vijay is a very close friend of mine and a very good human being. When he asked for the title, I couldn’t reject it. I was also confident that Vijay, as a filmmaker, had a good subject in hand which justified the title. Moreover, Santhosh will add a lot of value. Even Puneeth felt that the name Rajkumara was meaningful to the subject.”

The title was initially suggested for another Puneeth starrer, but since it was not given away at that time, and the film was released as Power ***.

“I had registered the name Rajkumara hoping to work with Puneeth. Many people asked me for the title, but I never gave it. After considering, all the aspects of the movie, I am giving it away, wholeheartedly, “says Ramu.

After the nod from the actor, Santhosh created an emotional poster on Puneeth’s birthday, which had the power star as a young kid along with his father. Now the title Rajakumara is an additional feather on his hat. The title will now be released on Dr Rajkumar’s birthday (April 24).
