Gayathri Iyer can finally take a break from sending a chill down the spine of audience by playing with their inherent fears. With Tyson (to be directed by Ramnarayan), the talented actress moves away from her run of six back-to-back horror-oriented thrillers.
“Tyson will help me to explore a new dimension of my character and hopefully I will bring something new to the film as well. Ramnarayan noticed my diverse profile of commercials, comic and women- oriented roles and decided to cast me in this project,” says Gayathri who will be seen opposite Vinod Prabhakar.
The actress was upbeat about the recent photo shoot for Tyson shot by Bhuvan Gowda. “The photo shoot was quite splendidly carried out and I was quite impressed with the way the photographer handled his subjects,” says Gayathri, who got to know her co-star Vinod during the photo session. “It took time to get familiar with Vinod. Being an action hero, he took his time to blend in for a romantic shoot,” the actress adds.
She will join the sets of Tyson from April 20. The film will have music by three music directors — Ganesh Narayan, V Harikrishna and Jessi Gift.
This is Gayathri’s fourth film in Kannada and her twelfth movie overall, which includes cinema in Telugu, Bengali and few other languages. Being a pan-Indian heroine, she states that she has different reasons to select her films in each language. “Kannada audience are not mainly from the metro. The films also run in B & C towns and the mass formula with family-oriented subjects does well here. I pick up subjects taking these various trends into consideration,” she says.
