In Sandalwood, there is rarely a film, which has the potential to create such a buzz before its release. So much so  that the craze spreads across the state and even provides a launchpad for other films! As Puneeth Rajkumar’s Rana Vikrama is due to hit the screens soon, makers of other films like Vajrakaya, Ranna, Bombay Mitai and Boxer have decided to show the theatrical trailer of their films on the day of this big release.

Prasanna, senior executive of Qube Digital Cinema confirms this and says, “Yes, as of now we have got the trailer cuts of Vajrakaya and Boxer. We are yet to receive the trailer of Ranna. All three trailers will be screened on the day of release.”

As of now, the buzz is that the film will be screened in around 280 theatres across Karnataka. While Harsha, the director of Vajrakaya and Nanda Kishore, the director of Ranna, have planned for a grand trailer release, Preetham Gubbi’s Boxer will introduce Swedish fight master Ron, in the soon-to-be-released promo of the film.

Meanwhile, fans of Puneeth Rajkumar have made elaborate plans to promote their hero and his film. Shivu Adda, one of the biggest fan clubs of the actor consisting of youngsters from an IT background, has great plans. Naren Marol, a business manager with an IT company and a core member states, “Apart from huge fireworks and other celebrations, on the day of the release, our team will dress up like Puneeth in Rana Vikrama, complete with denim jeans and customised khakhi shirts. We are also planning a Shivu Adda signature event on the weekend, for our family and friends at various multiplexes.”

Fans in KR Puram have planned for a mega garland and bike rally at Krishna theatre where the film is releasing. “The celebration is not limited to just male fans. A lot of female fans have planned to make it big this time. Our team across Karnataka, mainly in Bengaluru Shivamogga, Tumakuru, Huballi, Ballari, Raichuru and Vijayapura is making sure for a grand release of Rana Vikrama,” says Harish, another core member who is organizing the celebrations.
