BENGALURU: Sharan is an actor who doesn’t let go of his uniqueness in any film that he does. While the actor likes to spread happiness through all his work, he also tries to keep his look different for his films. This time, he makes sure that his look will be remembered as he sports a moustache for his upcoming film, Bullet Basya. “In my entire career, of more than 100 films as a comedian and as a hero, this is the first ever time that I have grown a moustache for a film,” states Sharan and further adds, “This will be another image change for me and I think it looks quite stylish.”
Another distinctive part of Bullet Basya is the addition of the sidekicks who are part of the hero’s team. Usually, Sharan doesn’t allow himself to behave like a typical hero and doesn’t mind sharing the limelight with others. This time though Sharan has not one but four pals who are an integral part of the film. “People have seen me with a combination of Tabla Nani and Chikkanna, Kuri Prathap and Bullet Prakash in my various outings. This time I have a gang of four, who are appearing with me for the first time, throughout the film. I am the Bullet Baysa and along with me are Prashanth Siddi, Tanveer, Jaggesh’s son, Yathiraj and Goduli Giri. I call it a five-man army,” says Sharan.
With Sharan’s talent, he slips into his character with ease and according to him, the supporting characters who share screen space with him will only bring in more entertainment. Sharan says, “My routine in films is usually based on humour. And these four artistes bring their own expertise to the film. I will be seen in a very few scenes without them or if I can say it, Bullet Basya doesn’t exist without these four. They are my friends, who guide and misguide me.”
Bullet Basya is directed by Jayathirtha and is produced by Jayanna under his home banner. Hariprriya plays the lead heroine.
