Parthiban’s Sandalwood debut Dada is Back is close to finishing its shoot. Director Santosh has confirmed that 60 per cent of filming has been completed and the next schedule will begin from April 15. “We are now left with five to six days of shoot, followed by fight sequences and some songs,” says Santosh.

Parthiban’s next schedule will be from April 30, before which Santosh plans to complete a few portions with the other actors in the team. Sudharani, who will join the sets from April 15, will  play the leading lady Shravya’s mother.  Meanwhile, Parthiban is also getting ready to dub in Kannada, and has been learning the language on the sets. “He has taken a dozen CDs of old Kannada movies, and an English to Kannada dictionary,” says Santosh.

Speaking about his attitude towards acting, Santosh is all praise for the actor.

He says, “Whether it comes to his punctuality on the sets or dialogue delivery, he makes sure to bring out the best. In fact, he wrote the Kannada dialogues in Tamil, practised it for two hours, and delivered them with confidence. We used to complete the scenes in three to four retakes. Being a director, he understood the nuances of filmmaking. He would also tell us how to cut costs at certain points. All this was an inspiration for us,” says Santosh.
