Sometimes, a person’s best teacher can be his last mistake. And we’re sure that Srinivas Raju would agree. After his ambitious project Shivam fell flat despite its great hype, the director is treading carefully. And this time, it seems he is of the opinion that making mistakes is human, but learning from them is divine. So, the director is relying on correcting all of Shivam’s mistakes in his yet-to-be-titled horror-comedy.
Lesson number one is not to stick to a project for more than a year. Rectifying this mistake, he has completed this upcoming film with Priyamani and Komal in just 27 days including the song shoots. “I am just left with a day of patchwork now. We are now in the re-recording stage and the film will be with the Censor Board soon. I am planning for an end of May release,” says Srinivas.
Lesson number two is to not let the dates go out of control. Srinivas has rectified this mistake by taking control of the shooting schedule. “Shivam took a long time to make because
of the schedules of the main artistes and it went out of hand. Now, I have made sure that everything is under my control and have scheduled the dates of all the lead artistes and technicians accordingly,” he says. Srinivas has roped in Arjun Janya for the music and Pooja Gandhi makes a guest appearance.
Meanwhile, Srinivas will start his next project Nati Koli starring Ragini Dwivedi, Arun Gowda and Sanjjanaa from April 23 followed by Dandupalya 2 with Pooja Gandhi from June 6. “I will be starting one more film in December.”
Having convinced himself to wrap up all projects at the earliest, the director says, “I will now take just four months for each project.”
