Producer Uday K Mehta knows well that the mind of the audience is not a vessel to be filled, but a flickering flame that needs to kindled. And while he has fired up the emotional quotient and found acceptance with one of Krishna Ajay Rao's Krishna series using melody as a primary inducer, he hopes music will again fuel his next in the series, Krishna-Rukku, that sees Amulya in the female lead.
And going by triumph in pairing actor Ajai and music director Sridhar as in the past for the series -- Krishnan Love Story, Krishnan Marriage Story and Krishna Leela, the producer’s brief was terse -- stick to the success melody.
According to the producer, the music director Sridhar V Sambhram has kept to the brief and has yet again given his best for Ajay and the Krishna series. “This is the second time that I am working with the music director after Krishnan Love Story which is his fourth film with Ajay. When director Anil Kumar and I were discussing about music, we only had Sridhar in mind. After all, he has been a hit in the Krishna series. His melodies are classical and his song, Hrudayave bayaside ninnane in Krishnan Love Story has become an evergreen hit. We had already set our standards high and the effort was to surpass it,” Uday says.
Sridhar took it as a challenge first came up with a patho number, followed by a melody and a peppy track. “Helilla Yaarallu Naanu is a song sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal while Lip Stick Olagina Lippina is sung by Puneeth Rajkumar. As makers, we are immensely satisfied,” says Uday.
Apart from these tracks, another song, C for Cow has been created solely for promotional. “It will not be used in the movie and will be uploaded on social media when we are ready to talk about Krishna-Rukku,” reveals Uday.
