There has been quite a buzz for a while now about AP Arjun’s Raate and Yogaraj Bhat’s Vaastu Prakara for their original screenplays and novel concepts. Both the films have finally been cleared by the Censor Board thus paving way for an imminent release. While Raate received a U/A certificate, Vaastu Prakara was cleared with a U listing and without any cuts or muting.
Now that Arjun has received the clearnce, the director has fixed the release date of the film for March 20 and publicity efforts will begin from February 14 itself.“U/A seemed sufficient for the film because the story has some fight sequences as well as a fair bit of bloodshed. Although I am busy with the shooting of Airavata with Darshan, I have been asked by many about Raate. The fate of this film’s release was tied to Ugadi and I don’t think we will postpone it any further. Ugadi is the beginning of the new Hindu lunar calendar and a festival suited to commencing new ventures and Raate is the right film for this time and will win the audience over with its fresh content,” says Arjun.
Vaastu Prakara has also got a green signal for its release. The film produced by MN Kumar features lead actors Jaggesh, Rakshit Shetty, Parul Yadav and Aishani Shetty. Though there are rumours that it will be out by February end, Bhatru is yet to decide the actual date and make an official announcement.
