While director Prakash Jayaram is getting ready to send his film Siddhartha to the censor office, debutant actor Vinay Rajkumar is travelling across Karnataka along with his co-stars to promote the film. The team kickstarted their tour by visiting Mysuru and Mandya and stopped by Maddur, Ramanagara and Bidadi along the way. Vinay already has a huge fan following across the state, even before his first film is out because of his family. The crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Rajkumar’s grandson and cheered the actor. They were all thrilled at the actor’s entry into Sandalwood and wished him success for his debut venture.
“Their blessings have only given me more confidence and I have been getting positive vibes from the people in different places,” says Vinay, adding, “Whoever I meet says that they like the songs and believe that the film will also head in the same direction. Most of them want to see me fight, sing songs on screen like my grandfather. There are also some who said that they want me to be like my chikkappa (Puneeth Rajkumar) and I am quite thrilled by their acceptance.”
The team will be off to Hubballi, Saundatti from Tuesday for further promotions.
Interestingly, the entire family including Vinay’s parents Raghavendra and Mangala Rajkumar and his brother Guru Rajkumar are participating in the ongoing promotions.
“My co-star Apoorva Arora will be joining me for the Hubbali promotions,” he says. The next promotion will be at Tumakuru, which will be after the release of the film. As of now the film is tentatively slated to release on January 23. “The date will be officially announced after we get the censor approval,” Vinay says.
