An actor of Anant Nag’s calibre does not require a makeover. But, he too relented, when wife Gayatri made him realise that sometimes in life, you do need to reinvent yourself. So when the veteran actor signed the movie Plus (+), Gayatri ensured that her hesitant husband agreed to a change.
And it did work. His look is currently the talk of the town. Gayatri also ensured that she attended the audio and trailer press meet of Plus. And Anant Nag did not hide the fact, wholeheartedly crediting his wife for his new look.
“The idea came from director Gadda Vijji and producer Ritesh, who is also the story writer. Initially, I did not want to experiment with my looks and even thought of rejecting the idea when I saw myself after the makeup. But it was Gayatri who encouraged me to accept the ‘experiment.’ In fact, I usually reject roles even if I have to sport a false beard. But with Plus, I think the outcome is great,” said Anant Nag.
After seeing the rushes of the film, the actor said, “It is a different experience. I had not read or done this kind of a role in my career. It is a unique script which cannot be classified in any genre.” Apart from Anant Nag, the film also stars Chetan Chandra, Shalini among others. The film’s music is scored by Bharath BJ and Sruthi Hariharan has made her first appearance in a special song for Plus.
