Having made her dream debut in Preetham Gubbi’s Nam Duniya Nam Style and following it up with working opposite Darshan in Brindavana, Milana Nagaraj sure has tread an aspirational journey so far. And the actress believes in keeping up the momentum. She is all set with her next release, Charlie, and is busy shooting for Fly. She has now bagged the lead role opposite Vijay Raghavendra in Mr Johnny to be directed by cinematographer turned director P K H Das.
Talking about her latest film, she says, “This year has been good for me and I am glad that I am associated with a good technical team. I am aware of PKH Das’s cinematography expertise and along with it, Jessie Gift is giving the music and that’s an advantage. Of course, I have the opportunity to work with a talented actor like Vijay Raghavendra.”
Playing an NRI in the film, Milana will be off to Rome from June 28 along with the team of Mr Johnny for 10 days. “The team has later planned to shoot in Manipal. In between, I will be going to Bangkok to shoot for some songs for Fly,” she says.
Though, it has been a slow but steady start for the actress, Milana feels that she has been quite a ‘thinking’ actress. “I am in a satisfying place right now. There was a time when I left some offers, which could have raised the bar in terms of my talent. But it is no use regretting now. At the end of the day, what is yours will stay. The ability to select good films is important and I consider being choosy to be my USP. Age is on my side and I am not clamouring for more films,” she says with confidence.
Charlie is now with the Censor Board and will be Milana’s next release.
The film, directed by Shiva, has Krishna in the lead and Vaishali Deepak plays a prominent role.
