When actor, Sathish Ninasam decided to turn producer for his next, Rocket, he reserved a hitherto unheard of budget for a four-minute sequence in the film. And he is confident that those crucial four minutes will change the entire film and work in his favour. Sathish has roped in stunt choreographer Ravi Verma, ensuring that the sequence had nothing amiss.

The film is made under his banner, Sathish Picture House and the actor has devoted two entire months to train for the four-minute fight sequence which was shot in four days. “The fight sequence cost me in six-figures. More than the money, this is the first time I got an opportunity to be part of a commercial fight sequence and it has turned out to be the most exciting moment in my career. I was thrilled when I watched it on the edit desk. My confidence level has only increased since seeing it. Also, I felt that being a hero, I should learn the various aspects of acting,” says Sathish, adding, “I share an excellent relation with Ravi Verma and he has choreographed some never-before-seen stunts for me. In spite of his busy schedule across the South industry and Bollywood, he made time for my production house. There was an equal effort put in by director Shivashashi and credit should also go to my cameraperson, Adwaita Gurumurthy,” he says.

According to the Sathish, the film is now at the dubbing stage and is only left with a few songs and a stunt sequence. “I have given the call sheet for a couple of films but I haven’t signed on the dotted line yet. I am concentrating on my debut venture as a producer. So it will take time to announce my next film,” he says.
