While Duniya Vijay waits for Yogaraj Bhat to officially announce his upcoming project, the actor has signed a new film Muruga to be directed by PN Sathya, with whom he was previously associated with in Shivajinagara.
“Muruga (Lord Murugan) is a universal name and connects with people of every language. This film too will have a theme that will go well with the family audience and is intended for mass entertainment. The same technicians who worked in Shivajinagara will be working for Muruga too,” he says.
According to the actor, he will start with Bhatru and follow it with Muruga. “Bhatru is busy with the script. I would rather wait for him to reveal the details because I have longed for an opportunity to work with him and I have finally got it. I have heard that the script needed somebody like me. But it is Bhatru who can tell when it will go on floors,” he says.
While his upcoming release is RX Suri, Vijay states that he has cut down on the quantity of projects and asserts that the style of watching cinema has changed among the audience. “They look out for entertainment. Over the years, I have matured and while Duniya gave me name and fame, it will be difficult to play a similar role. In an attempt to recreate such a role, I don’t want to lose it all,” he says.
