Director Sumana Kittur’s ambitious project Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu based on Poornachandra Tejaswi’s novel, has made Shwetha Srivatsav learn the rural way of living. The Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story star has been in and out of Kanakapura for the last eight days, where the team is shooting for the film. “Sumana spotted some ideal locations for the film in the outskirts of Bengaluru. I am thoroughly enjoying the village life since it is quite new to me. To top it, my role as Gayyali (Quarrelsome) is very authentic and there is a lot of detail going into every shot and scene,” says the actress.
According to Shwetha, she is getting involved in the daily chores of the ladies in the village. “I am getting to do every bit of work and the village women have also helped me to get the right accent, which is very necessary for my role. I have learnt to be one among them,” she says and adds that while this film will see her in a complete de-glam role, the challenging part was to swear in their style. “I am learning some expletives but that is what it takes to be a ‘Gayyali’. Thankfully, I am at the right place and with the right people for this role,” says Shwetha.
Sumana plans to complete the film in one schedule which will last for 35 days. “Sumana is well prepared and has made all the arrangements to complete the shoot on time. If any patchwork is left, we plan to finish it in another 10 days,” she says.
