After Piku tickled the emotional chord with its father-daughter theme and Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu brought in the emotionally melancholic relationship between a father and son to tearful applause from the audience, the upcoming film Pushpaka Vimana is taking a touching passage through the relationship of a daughter and father.
Having created a buzz since it is the 100th film of Ramesh Aravind along with a special appearance by Juhi Chawla in a song as well. With the casting of young actress Yuvina Parthavi, the highlight of the film is also said to be Rachita Ram’s role.
While the film is at the re-recording stage, the makers are now planning a mega audio launch sometime soon. They have also revealed the first look of Rachita, which clearly indicates the emotional side of the actress, who is otherwise seen in bubbly roles. In fact, according to the actress, she had confessed to the producer Vikyath that it is the first time she has ever portrayed an emotional character.
She tells City Express that her emotions were natural because it is a film between a father and daughter.
“I am close to my father and I could connect very well with this role. Throughout the sequences I got to play with Ramesh Aravind, I could only imagine my father in front of me. Pushpaka Vimana will seal the fact that even girls can take care of their parents,” she asserts.
The film has Ramesh Aravind playing an innocent character who loves his daughter and takes care of her as a mother. Not revealing much about her role in the film, Rachita states that Yuvina as a child artiste takes charge and looks after the father in the later days. “Little and profound emotions have been woven in and the film is sure to give you a lump in the throat,” she says.
Personally, Rachita feels that the myth of a girl child not being able to support her parents exists no more.
“My sister and I are taking care of my parents now. ‘I am there for you’ has been the mantra of every girl to her parents today,” she says and adds that her father is an emotional person and just loves his daughters.
“It is all about my sister, Nithya Ram and me for him. My father never regretted not having a son and he is so confident that we will look after our parents. He always said that daughters can take better care of their parents better than sons and he believes in it,” she says.
