The makers of Puneeth Rajkumar and Radhika Pandit starrer, Doddmane Hudga, are banking on many Kannada flavours. Using dialects common in Kolar, Mandya and Hubballi, the team has pitched an  approach  to capture the verbal diversity

of Karnataka.

Beginning the colloquial flavour with the songs which will start shoot from February 8,  the first track will totally be in Hubballi dialect and in ‘Hubballi style’, according to director Suri. “The song goes, Yaak magana maiyyaga hengaiti...Hange hogabyada nilla... Yello nodabyada... Churu gaadi nilusu...Ice candy kodusu...,which is typical of the region’s dialect.  In the film, Radhika is a girl from Kolar, but why she becomes a Hubballi girl will be known when the audience watch the film,” reveals Suri.

Interestingly, even Puneeth will speak  in Hubballi dialect. “We always include unexplored locations but in the film, we have tried to bring in the other dialects of Kannada, which is rare in Sandalwood,” Suri says.

With music director V Harikrishna setting Yogaraj Bhat's lyrics to music, the director is yet to finalise on the singer and choreographer. “We want to bring in somebody who can justify the song with their voice. So the search is on,” says Suri, who along with his team will be off to Hubballi next week. “Right now I am busy at the dubbing studio. We are planning to start song shoots from February 8 or 15 depending on the schedule. We will be done with the film after we complete the entire song shoot,” he says.

The film produced by M Govindu under Ajay Pictures will see Puneeth and Suri coming together again. The film will also feature an ensemble cast of Ambareesh, Sumalatha, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Srinivasa Murthy, P Ravi Shankar,  Rangayana Raghu, Chikkanna and Samarth Sridhar in important roles. Satya Hegde as

cinematogrpaher, Shashidhar Adapa is the art director for the film.
