After the resounding success of Kendasampige - Gini Mari Case, which completed 100 days, expectations run high for director Suri's next -- Kaage Bangara - a prequel to Part 1. It's a challenge to match that.
The first attempt is to find the right star cast. "The paper work of Kaage Bangara is going on and only a few portions have been shot when I did Kendasampige. The current challenge is to find three artistes who can play visually impaired characters in my film. Initially, I thought of roping in people who are visually impaired and even auditioned a few. But it simply did not work as I had expected. In fact I had a visually impaired person for my film
Kaddipudi and it did well. However this time, I am looking for three people — two who are in the 45 to 55 age and one younger — since the film also depends on them," explains Suri.
The director, in the midst of his busy schedule for Puneeth Rajkumar's Doddmane Hudga, is planning to visit various threatre schools like Rangayana and Ninasam where he hopes to find artistes, who can do justice to the characters. "Parimala Factory, our production house, has always been scouting for good talent and we can give them the best platform with our film. Hope we make the right choice," he says. Kaage Bangara will have Prashanth Siddi along with a couple of artistes from Kendasampige. A few more will be brought on board in due course.
