Newbie Anoop, who will debut in director-producer R Chandru’s Lakshmana, has been noticed by various filmmakers in Sandalwood. So much so that Chandru himself has signed the young talent for another film to be made under his production house - Chandru Movies. This yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Chandrashekar Bandiyappa, who also helmed Rathaavara that recently crossed 50 days.
Director Chandru, who is currently at Mantralaya, tells City Express why he decided to work with Anoop again. “He is dedicated and good at what he does. I like his confidence. So I decided to work with him again, but this time as a producer. I watched Rathaavara and I liked Chandrashekar Bandiyappa’s style of filmmaking. He has come up with a good subject for Anoop and will be helming the film,” he says.
While only the songs are left to be filmed, Chandru hopes to release Lakshmana in time for Ugadi. Anoop is politican
H M Revanna’s son and has wanted to be an actor since childhood. And it seems he is in demand even before the release of his first film. A couple of other filmmakers have already signed him for projects and are planning to make an official announcement on Anoop’s birthday on February 8.
“Right now, he has said yes to my
project and the title will be announced on his birthday. He is one newbie to look out for in the Kannada industry today. It is only natural that he’s been getting so many offers,” Chandru says.
