Even though Viraat, starring Darshan, may see a long delay in its release, the excitement among the actor’s fans has not died down and they are waiting to watch their favourite star on screen. Likewise, the three girls — Chaitra Chandranath, Vidisha Srivastava and Isha Chawla — who have been paired opposite Darshan in the movie. Directed by H Vasu, the three heroines recently participated in the last song of the film, which was censored and included in the film. It is now set for release this week.
Chaitra says, “I would like to thank producer C Kalyan for making this film happen. I learnt a lot from Viraat and how sometimes it gets difficult to come out with a film. I now wait for the audience response,” says Chaitra. “To be frank, the excitement what I had three years ago when I took up this project is not there right now. If everything had gone well, Viraat would have been my debut. Since it didn’t happen in time, I started with DK and this became my second film. Nevertheless, this will be another film that will be added to my profile and I hope it works well for me,” she adds.
Happy to be working with Darshan, she says, his humility is remarkable.
“Having grown up watching his films, I had a different reaction when I met him on the sets. I used to get nervous when I had to deliver a dialogues in front of him. But, his stardom has not affected him.”
The actress who started with the Sinhala film Kalpanthe Sihinayak wants to to go back to Sri Lanka to do more work even while she has been getting offers from the Tamil industry.
Model-turned-actress Vidisha Srivastava and sister of Shanvi Srivastava says, “I am excited even though Viraat is releasing after a long gap. This is my debut in Kannada.”
Vidisha who is also working in Telugu hopes she will have more offers from Sandalwood. “Viraat was supposed to release even before my sister Shanvi made her entry to Kannada. But it is the other way round. My sister is doing big in Kannada and I am happy for her. Hope I will follow soon,” she says.
