Influences can manipulate ambitions and it has for six-and-a-half year old Parinitha, daughter of Kitty and Bhavana Belagere. The young girl who aspired to become an astronaut or a scientist when she was three years old, has now found a head start where her parents earned fame, Sandalwood.

She has bagged a role in the Shivarajkumar starrer, Leader.

Directed by Sahana Murthy and produced by Tarun Shivappa, she plays the daughter of Shivanna in the film. Going by the first look of the film, the chemistry of father and daughter is obvious, but according to Parinitha’s mother, Bhavana, an actor herself, there was no plan of her daughter getting into acting. “We knew that a day will come when Parinitha will hit the silver screen and we were prepared for it. Though she did have a few offers coming, we did not encourage them for a long time. But if destiny is taking her towards cinema, I can’t take that away from her,” she says.

According to her, one of the main reasons for Parinitha to accept the film was that she had to go to Kashmir for shooting. “When she was offered the role, we took some time and discussed. We also asked her whether she was interested. She was just excited because she would be going to Kashmir. But the only reason I accepted is because of Shivarajkumar and the team,” Bhavana says.

For the mother, Parinitha has excellent grasping power and is fond of books. “She sings and dances well and is a voracious reader,” she mentions and adds that it is too early to talk about her future. “I need to give her an opportunity to create her destiny,” she states.

Parinitha is in first standard and academically very sharp, says her mother. “I will not have a problem with her studies and will make sure that she catches up on what she will miss when she is out for shoot,” she says.
