Shivarajkumar-starrer Tagaru has another very interesting actor in the star cast. Director Suri, who is currently doing the groundwork for the film, has roped in  Dhananjay.

In the movie, Dhananjay will be seen in a negative shade, for the first time. He will be at loggerheads with the hero, played by  Shivarajkumar.

Suri shares with us the reason he decided to place Dhananjay opposite Shivarajkumar. “When I met him and discussed his acting career, all he said was that he wants to be known more as an actor than a hero. That impressed me the most. He comes from a theatre background and wants to do all kinds of character roles. Dhananjay’s intent for coming into cinema is not just to play larger-than-life characters,” says the director.

“When I explained the role to him, he was excited and agreed to be part of it,” says Suri. “I also discussed with Shivanna, who was equally thrilled to have him on board.”

While the title Tagaru has created a lot of buzz in the industry circles and among Shivanna’s fans, the tussle between the central characters played by Shivarajkumar and Dhananjay will definitely be another highlight of Suri’s film.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Manvitha Harish is being considered for the project produced by KP Srikanth.  The team is in the process of finalising the rest of the star cast. The makers plan to have the movie’s muhurath on August 21.

Dhananjay has Badmaash, Allamma Prabhu, Eradane Sala and Vijayaditya in the pipeline. While he is currently completing shoot for the last project, the actor is eagerly waiting for Badmaash to release.
