After three years, Neer Dose has progressed to its audio release. An elated director Vijaya Prasad said that he had to overcome hurdles both inside and outside the industry, and finally the movie opens to the audience this Thursday.
The film features Hariprriya with Jaggesh, Dattanna and Suman Ranganathan.
Music director Anoop Seelin says that Neer Dose is special for him and the director because it was a film that was taken after Sidlingu.
"It is thanks to the current producers that the film got a new lease of life," says Anoop, who had composed two songs when the project had taken off three years ago. Then, Vijay Prasad was writing its script. Anoop wrote two other songs during its shoot this year.
One of the highlights of the movie is the use of Hindustani music exponent Gangubai Hangal's alaap in one of the songs.
"We took permission from the musician's grandson Manoj Hangal, who gave us the rights to use it in our film. I consider it a big honour to be able to have her voice in my music album," says Anoop, who has blended the alaap of Gangubai Hangal's music in puriya dhanasree raga to the song Hogi Baa Belake composed and sung by Anoop himself.
The music director has tried to bring in a local flavour to all the tracks.
"The songs have different themes like a ghazal track, Arabian theme or duets. I can happily say that this will be one of the best album collections in my career," he says.
He has done the background score too and says that it had to carry the journey of three friends — Hariprriya, Jaggesh and Dattanna — of different ages. "While the film explores two sides of each character, the story brings in humour and drama, and the background score keeps up with its emotions," he says.
The film produced by Skanda Entertainment Private Limited has Sugaan as its cinematographer.
