Godhi banna techie gets college boy makeover

Rakshit Shetty changes roles, working man or student, and looks with great ease

BENGALURU: Rakshit Shetty, who started his Sandalwood career with Tughlak in 2012, has come a long way since. Over the years, he has constantly gone the extra mile to work on his character or contribute to the film as a whole.

The actor's popularity has only shot up thanks to the success of his latest film, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. Now he is working on his next, Kirik Party.

He dons varied looks with as much ease as he does characters. His look for his upcoming film is an example of that versatility. The actor, who pulled off a software engineer's role effortlessly in the Anant Nag-starrer Godhi Banna... looks like a college student after a makeover for Kirik Party.  Rakshit latest pictures that City Express got hold off shows him sporting a stylish hairdo. 

But this is only one of the looks the film features the actor in. "My character will look like this when he's in his first year of college" says Rakshit.

The shoots for these bits have been completed in a colleges situated in Haasan, which the team thought was a perfect set.

The Rishab Shetty directorial team is on a month's break, before it starts with the next schedule. And Rakshit is growing into his next look, or rather, 'using the time to grow a beard'," as he jokes. "This is for the time when my character is in  his final year," he explains.

Having to shoot with the youngsters for Kirik Party, he has grown younger, Rakshit says.

"It is helping me get in character. The film is a youth-based comedy, and it was fun even while shooting," he adds.

   Meanwhile, Rakshit is also busy writing a script and also putting in hours at the edit table with director Rishab Shetty. "We will start dubbing today," he says.

   Kirik Party is the first film made under banner Paramvah Studio. They have two new female leads -- Rashmika Mandanna and Samyuktha Hegde. The film will also see 20 fresh faces. The film will also feature a Contessa car, said to be a full-fledged character, rather like a second hero.
