Vidya Pradeep, who has made her foray into the Kannada industry with Bangara S/o of Bangaarada Manushya, is in demand. According to the latest buzz in Gandhinagar, the actress has bagged her second big project.
Sources say Vidya is the first female lead to be chosen for Shivarajkumar- and Sudeep-starrer Kali, directed by Prem.
The film, it’s being said, will have three or four heroines, and Vidya is the first to be signed. The actress has impressed the makers so much that they have booked her dates.
“They have confirmed her, and given her an advance,” sources told City Express. A PhD holder in stem cell biology, this model-turned-actress has already established herself in Tamil and Malayalam. Her performance in Pasanga 2 was critically acclaimed.
As City Express reported earlier, Prem is in talks with the managers of Nayantara and Anushka Shetty, and hope to get them on board. He is also looking for a few established faces in the South Indian language industries.
This is just the beginning of the selection of the huge star cast for the a multilingual project to be made in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
Meanwhile, Vidya will start shooting her portions for Bangara S/o of Bangaarada Manushya in late April or early May.
