Actress by chance, Aditi Aururaj to debut in kannada
Aditi Gururaj Acharya is another Tulu-speaking girl, who is making her debut in Kannada in Pratam's directorial Dewrawne Bidu Guru.
The film features Akul Balaji in the lead with Shwetha Basu playing a pivotal role. The young lass, who started off with a Tamil film Oru Mugathirai is currently pursuing her MBA in Bengaluru. Aditi, a runner-up of Miss Mangalore and a dancer who is trained in contemporary, belly dancing and Kalaripayatu, says the glam world was not even on her list.
“Getting me to feature in my first Tamil film was a big task for the filmmaker because when they approached me for the first time, I said no. But not losing hope, they came back after six months and then I had to change my mind. It was the story that impressed me,” Aditi explains.
About working in her first Kannada film, she says, “Pratam’s energy has influenced me. He not only comes up with an experimental script, but also keeps the tempo up in the making as well. The film has a few surprises, which the director will reveal close to the release date,” she says.
Having taken up a career, which she never thought of before, the actress now accepts the film culture with open arms.
Aditi says that her future in tinsel town depends on only her. “I am still a fresher, with no acting background. The films that I have been part of have been a learning school. Luckily this industry has been good to me and offering me some good projects and I hope to give my best,” she signs off.
