Duniya Vijay, Amulya and Kriti Kharbanda-starrer Maasti Gudi is on the last leg of its shoot. Going by the latest pictures, which City Express got hold off, Amulya’s look in the film is something inspired by the 80s.

The actress says, “It is from a period when where half sarees were in trend. My look is traditional with nose pins and bright colours. My character too, soft spoken and innocent, is a departure from my usual roles."

Amulya will be sporting a grey eye lens for the first time because director Nagashekar wanted cat eyes. “My soul enters Kriti’s body,” she says, “and the colour of her eyes too change to grey.”

Amulya, completing a song shoot with Vijay, is left with one more track sequence and few talkie portions, which she says might take another 10 days.

Nagashekar is happy that he is on the last bits of Maasti Gudi shoot. “Work is on full-swing and we’re waiting for Kriti to join the team from September 1,” says the director who made hits such as Sanju weds Geetha and Myna.

Talking about Amulya’s role, Nagashekar says, “Amulya plays a college-going girl in the film, who falls in love with the hero’s goodness. Amulya’s soul enters Kriti’s body, but this is not a horror movie. It is a pucca commercial film,” he says.

Another happy news from the makers is that audio rights of the film was sold to Jhankar Music for a whooping ` 50 lakhs, which is rare for a Kannada film’s score. “The songs and music by Sadhu Kokila have  come out fabulously well with singers such as Sonu Nigam and Shreyas Ghosal.  We hope to launch the audio in the first week of  November, and hopefully release the film in December,” the director says.
