Jaisa desh, vaisa vesh — a saying in Hindi — is what Dhruva Sarja has lived by while shooting in North Karnataka for Bharjari, directed by Chetan Kumar.

With an army jersey and a tattoo that reads ‘Soldier’ on his left arm, he has tied a towel (batte) around his head, typical of North Karnataka.    "I have crafted my own style in the film. People will know why I chose it, when the film hits the screen," says Dhruva.

Shooting the second half of the film, the team is currently covering the North Karnataka belt. "We will be heading to Huballi to complete some talkie portions. I am also gearing up for an action sequence, which will be shot after a week,“ says Dhruva, who hopes to complete the talkie portions by the end of this month.

This is his third film and Dhruva flinches from the rat race. He is taking his career slow. "Nothing is intentional, but I think I am scared. I only want to give it my best. Everytime I meet the public, all they ask me is about my shoot and wish me well. I feel a responsibility towards them. The anxiety to keep up the good work is what is slowing me down. I don't want to make false promises to anybody. So far I am happy with the outcome of this film and I will keep everybody updated," he says.

Meanwhile, he will start off his next with director Nanda Kishore soon after he completes the talkie portions of Bharjari, which he hopes will be from mid-July. "This is a project I had signed with producer Gangadhar long ago. As I told earlier, it will not be a remake and will be a straightforward subject," says Dhruva, adding, "I am trying my best not to be part of remakes, and that is one of the reasons the project was delayed. Nanda Kishore has come out with a one-liner, which is interesting and he is currently working on the script."

Dhruva says, after Bharjari, he will be juggling two films. The actor feels confident about giving his best to both.
