Aproject that brought together actor Dhruva Sarja, director Nanda Kishore and producer BK Gangadhar three-and-half-years ago is finally taking off this year. The script pooja was done on the auspicious day of Ramanavami, andthe film will roll out by the end of April before which they plan to have a grand muhurath.

Nanda having completed the shooting of VIP’s  remake, produced by Rockline Venkatesh, will now do its post-production work and  simultaneously start work on Dhruva’s project. Meanwhile the actor is left with just the song shoot of his long-pending film, Bharjari.

An excited Gangadhar tells City Express, “My last film Adyaksha was made in 2014 and from then I have been waiting for this actor and director team, and both had been busy with their prior commitments. Now they can focus on my project,” says Gangadhar, who has produced films such as Geleya, Shaurya, Jarasandha and Chandralekha.

Intially, the plan was to remake the Telugu film Kandireega, which was ruled out when the  director came up with another subject for Dhruva. “Even though the project saw a long wait, I must say Nanda has come up with an excellent script. It was ready six months ago and it will shape up as and when we go on floors,” says Gangadhar.

Nanda Kishore’s film, which we hear will deal with a unique subject, has come up with an interesting title. “Dhruva’s next will be Hayagreeva,” says Gangadhar.
The makers, who are in the process of finalising the star cast and team of technicians have now brought on board cinematographer Sathya Hegde.
