Many a time, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has  stressed on the need to make socially relevant films, therefore he was happy to see the recently released film Raajakumara starring Puneeth Rajkumar. The CM, who watched the film on Sunday night in Mysuru, called the actor and congratulated him. He then invited the team over for tea on Monday morning and expressed his joy at watching Raajakumara. According to director Santhosh Ananddram, who met Siddaramaiah, the CM liked the social message that the film conveyed. He told Puneeth that he saw his father (Rajkumar) in him. “It was an encouragement and blessing from him,” says Santhosh. “We were honoured.”

Santhosh to work with Puneeth again

Meanwhile there is a lot of talk that Santhosh’s next will be with Shivarajkumar, which the director says has reached his ears  too. “Till date, I have not finalised on anybody and have not had any discussion with Shivanna regarding this,” he says. “Of course, I am very keen to work with him, but I am yet to decide on the project. There is also talk that I am doing a film with Sudeep or Darshan. But I will decide on the hero once I am confident about the one-liner of my subject, which I might announce in May and after I am  completely done with Raajkumara promotions,” he says.
However, the director unofficially told us that he is sure to work with Puneeth, and the project will be going on floors sometime soon.
