Sangeetha Bhatt, who caught everybody’s eye with her performance in Eradena Sala and is waiting for the release of Dayavitu Gamanisi, has started shooting for her next.
Titled Loaded Gun, this is a commercial comedy helmed by a newcomer Shankar Narayan Reddy. “I had signed this film before the release of Eradena Sala, but after demonetisation, the film schedule was delayed. We just started shooting a week ago,” she says.
Sangeetha says that the interesting part of this film is the line up of comedians. “Almost all the comedians from the film industry like Sadhu Kokila and Chikkanna are part of this film,” she says.
“For me, this is a new genre to experiment with and the best part is that even the action sequences will be presented in a comical way. So there is laughter throughout. Sangeetha’s character is of a writer who is researching on suicide.
“The director is from Telugu and he is bringing in a flavour of that region to Loaded Gun,” she says. “He is a debutant director but he has his experience in writing, and has written scripts and dialogues for various films.” The film has Sangeetha paired opposite a newcomer Prathap Pavan.
The audio of Sangeetha’s Tamil film will be launched by Rajinikanth and trailer by Kamal Haasan.
Sangeetha, who is busy in Kannada, is excited about her upcoming Tamil film Aarambame Attagasam. The reason being that the guest who has been invited for the audio launch, to be held on April 21, is none other than the superstar of Indian cinema Rajinikanth. Eight days later, the trailer will be launched by Kamal Haasan.
“The hero Jeeva of the film has been Rajinikanth’s body double for many of films and has been close to the Superstar,” she says.
