Rachita Ram, before associating with Duniya Vijay for Preetham Gubbi’s Johnny Johnny Yes Papa will be sharing screen space with the actor in Kanaka directed by R Chandru.
“She will be playing the main lead in our film along with Manvitha Harish,” says Chandru, who is glad to have her on board. “This is a unique character for Rachita, which is performance-based. Even she was excited after I narrated the role and agreed.
Rachita will be joining the sets of Kanaka from June 16, just after she comes back from Bharjari song shoot. “Rachita plays Sampige in our film and portions of her and Vijay will be shot mostly in North Karnataka in a village backdrop,” he says.
Chandru who launched Kanaka on the 10th anniversary will showcase the goodwill of Rajkumar that blends with Vijay’s action, with a plot that explores love and emotions. The film has music by Naveen Sajju and cinematography by Sathya Hegde.
