Young actress Kruthika Jayakumar has taken a while to choose her next after Boxer, but she says that she has been waiting for good scripts to come her way. Her second Kannada film will see her sharing screen space with Shivarajkumar, in Kavacha.

Kruthika, who will be joining the sets this week, spoke to City Express and expressed excitement to be back in Sandalwood. She said, “Since, I was born and raised here, I was particular that whatever Kannada film I do has to be really good and did not want to do a regular commercial film. I was waiting for a solid story and that was why there seems to have been a long break after Boxer.”

The actress’ second film also happens to be a remake, and she does not mind that. She said, “Even remakes are modified a bit in other languages. A good film will always leave an impression, no matter what languages it is made in. When I was approached for the project, I watched the original and decided it was a good script to work with, and my character would add value to it. Then, I heard that I would be sharing screen space with Shivanna and I was like ‘wow’. It’s such a big opportunity, and I felt that was a perfect project for a comeback.”

Kruthika, who has made her mark in Telugu industry, is now said to be making her Kollywood debut. She said, “I am currently shooting for a period film Santhana Devan in Tamil, opposite Arya, and along with that I will be working on Kavacha”.
