BENGALURU: For Ganesh Chaturthi, the Uppu Huli Khara team has released a track dedicated to the Elephant God. The song from the film was sung by Sudeep and it has become instantly popular for it. It is sure to be one of the tracks that you’ll hear everywhere this Chaturthi.
Imran Sardhariya, director of Uppi Huli Khara, tells us that this is a song introducing one of the characters Om. He is a hotel supplier who believes that everything happens thanks to blessings of ‘Ganesha’, says Imran.
“The song is where he is a celebrating an occasion,” says the director who was very keen on having Sudeep sing this song.
“There was something divine about Sudeep’s voice when he recorded this song. Especially, when he chants ‘Ganapati Bappa Morya’... the attitude, the style and resonance was like he was like calling out for Ganesha,” says Imran.
“I felt that he was connecting with the lord deep inside while singing this track... So pure. I have worked with him for years now and know that he puts his heart and soul into whatever he does. The minute he agreed to sing this song, I knew that the track will be a hit during the celebration.”
Imran believes that Ganesha is the first god people pray to and Sudeep was able to convey that urgency in devotion through his voice. The director has roped in 400 dancers to add a festive air to the song shoot, which was done over four days with mutliple cameras set up in front of a huge 23.5-feet Ganesha idol. “Sudeep blessed the fi lm with this song,” says Imran.
“The lyrics was written by AP Arjun with Judah Sandy’s music, and choreography by me.” The fi lm, produced by M Ramesh Reddy, has an ensemble cast including Malashree, Anushree and, Jayashree, ShashiDevaraj, DhannajayBandSharant. Uppu Huli Khara has cinematography by Niranjan Babu.
