Cinematographer turned director S Krishna, who is riding high on the success of Gajakesari and his second film Hebbuli has already made his next big move. The director who helms Sudeep’s next, will also be donning the role of the film’s producer.

The maiden project to be made under RRR Motion pictures will be produced by his wife, Swapna Krishna. The latter has made a mark in small screen under RRR Features with serials such as Gruhalakshmi, Ganga and Subbalksmi Samsara among others. The filmmakers made this announcement on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, on his Twitter account.

In the tweet, he told followers the team had wrapped up photoshoot for the first production under his “home banner RRR Motion Picturesing KicchaSudeepa sir. Happy moment for my whole family. Thanking the actor for all the support”.

The director tweet again :”A new Big journey started today prdcr @iswapnakrishna #RRRmotionpictures on very special day.jai Ganesha. thank u @KicchaSudeep sir”.
City Express spoke to the director, who shared his excitement of turning producer and about associating with a big star. “Turning producer is a big responsibility.

Producing  a star film only doubles the excitement. The fact that Sudeep wanted me to produce his film means he believes in my work and want to see me grow. Having seen my journey, with my struggles during  Ranga SSLC, I felt that somewhere, he liked the passion I have for cinema and lent his support. When a superstar is giving you dates, and allows you to produce his films, everything else is meant to fall in place,” he says. Krishna says, the other reason to produce the movie is the history of his association with the actor for Hebbuli. “The film was a hit combination of Sudeep and me, which made big business.

But the most important thing is the emotional bond we share, businesswise and as friends. To be frank, as a producer, I cracked the deal with Sudeep by paying 1,001 rupees as advance,” says the director, who plans to start the project from October end.

With Sudeep’s birthday falling on September 2, Krishna plans to bring out the first look poster of the film on that date. A  photoshoot was arranged at Bangkok for the poster where the actor was shooting for The Villain. “Our film started on Ganesha festival and an Austrailian photographer has clicked a few exclusive photos of Sudeep, which will be revealed on his birthday,” says Krishna.

As for the subject line, Krishna was reluctant to share. It was initially reported that he might go in for comedy, but a little birdie tells us that it will be a sports flick. “It will be a commercial entertainer related to wrestling and boxing. The movie will be an emotional one,” our source informs.

Sudeep, who is currently shooting for another project has been working out rigorously. “This is because Sudeep will be baring his body for the first shirtless act of his career,” informs a source.

A sports flick, with a bare-chested Sudeep should definitely get the hype rolling for this one.
