Friday will see the release of Shivarajkumar’s Srikanta, but the Hat-trick Star is excited that on the same day, good friend Ramesh Aravind’s movie will also be out. “I hope both Pushpaka Vimana and Srikanta do well at the box office,” he says.
Srikanta sees Shivarajkumar playing a common man, but there is more it, according to the actor.
“This is a film in which I was asked to be normal and I didn’t have to carry a hero’s style,” he says and says that the title Srikanta refers to Shiva or Vishakanta, one who contains the poison.
“As a common man, to what extent can Srikanta hold the truth and tolerate falsity is what the movie is about. The difference in the movie is from Manju Swaraj’s narration, I convey the range of emotions or experiences a common man goes through,” he says.
