Anup Bhandari who had a colourful start with his debut directorial Rangitaranga is now set with his second outing Rajaratha, which he plans to release on January 25, 2018. This is a bilingual and will simulataneously be released in Telugu as Rajaratham, which marks the debut of Anup and his brother Nirup in Telugu. The director, officially announcing the release date, tweeted, "#Rajartha / Rajartham worldwide release on Jan 25! Trailer & songs soon!".

Nirup Bhandari had been noticed in Kannada, in his brother Anup's first outing. All of 6 foot and 2 inches, he will be the next tall hero in Telugu, matching Mahesh Babu in height. He will join the group of Kannada heroes who are now winning appreciation in other language movies.

Apparently, producer Ajay Reddy thought of taking this film and actor Nirup to Tollywood. Anup spill the beans: "I was sure that the subject will work in all languages, and Ajay was keen to associate with us. The producer is quite fond of Telugu actor Prabhas and likes to watch his films, and he felt the same way when he watched Nirup in Rangitanga. His height, voice and style drew the producer's attention. So he wanted to introduce him in Telugu. Ajay also felt that making this film in two languages will help in reach a larger audience, and win recognition for our work in other regions. Nirup understands how working in a bilingual could be beneficial to him, and he decided to step into Tollywood while I mark my directorial debut there".

Meanwhile, the team will be out with a big surprise and plans to make the announcement a big-bang one.  Ajay Reddy, who has been vocal about bilingual Rajaratha on social media, has however left a clue. He posts that two south Indian superstars are to be part of Rajaratha, and he leaves us guessing about their names.
