Next destination for Sanchari Vijay is '6ne Maili'

Sanchari Vijay is one actor in the industry, who is seeing back to back releases. His next release is 6ne Maili (6th Mile) which will be out in theatres this week. Touted to be a suspense thriller, 6ne Maili according to the actor,  is a take on real incidents from the movie director, See Ni’s life, presented on reel screen.

“The film is about trekkers and is about a particular spot called 6ne Maili at Dhavalagiri where people go missing. Sixty per cent of the film is based on incidents at this spot while forty percent is fictional,” says Sanchari, while adding, “See Ni took help from a cop named  Annamalai for the story. We were also told that there had been cases where Naxalites were also responsible for the trekkers disappearing.”

Sanchari, plays a trekker who leads a team to the spot. “A lot of people go trekking to many places not unaware of their fates. The film, sort of spreads an awareness message to be cautious,” he says.
The second strength of 6ne Maili is the non-linear screenplay, says Sanchari, “The director has tried to connect the audience with every character. We have at least 100 artists in the film, mostly from a theatre background, and each one has an important role to play.”

With music composed by Sai Kiran, for the first time, the makers have used a death metal music for the only song in 6ne Maili, which is first time in a Kannada film. They got associated with Hollywood musicians for this song and producer himself visited Metropolis studio in London to get this song done.
The film is produced by Shailesh Kumar, a neurosurgeon, 6ne Miaili has Radio Jockeys, Nethra and Sudesh and doctor turned actor, Jhanvi Jyothi in the cast. They play themselves on screen.

Though the incident took place in Dhavalagiri, the makers, however, shot the film at locations at Sirsi and Yellapura. “The entire shoot mostly took place during the night. It was an exhilarating experience,” he says.
