Five years on, Rachita Ram is on top of her game

Five years have passed, and Rachita has not only had the opportunity to have been associated with back-to-back commercial films, she has also managed to work with all the top stars of Sandalwood.

Rachita Ram, who was a known face on television till 2013, was spotted by director Dinakar  Thoogudeepa, after which she made her transition onto the silver screen with Darshan-starrerBulbul. Completing five years in the industry, this nine-film-old heroine is on top of her game. “It feels good to have completed five years, and without any hurdles.

Though I have only a few projects, every film of mine has been memorable,” says Rachita, at a media interaction for her upcoming film, Seetharama Kalyana.

Five years have passed, and Rachita has not only had the opportunity to have been associated with back-to-back commercial films, she has also managed to work with all the top stars of Sandalwood, including Darshan, Sudeep, Puneeth Rajkumar, Sriimurali, Ganesh, Ramesh Aravind and Dhruva Sarja to name a few.

Rachita is one busy bee, with four projects in hand right now -  Ayogya with Ninasam Sathish, Natasarvabhouma with Puneeth Rajkumar,  I Love You with Upendra, and Nikhil Kumar-starrer Seetharama Kalyana. She hopes to soon work on a project with Shivarajkumar. “I have been really blessed to have worked in films made under big banners or with established stars,” says Rachita.

If given an opportunity, she hopes to associate with all these stars again. “There was some hesitation when I associated with these actors at first. Now, having built a good rapport with them, it will be easy to work with them the second time. Right now, I am working with Appu (Puneeth Rajkumar) in Natasarvabhouma,” she says.

Rachita says that director Harsha is keeping her on her toes with Seetharama Kalyana. “It is more like a jugalbandi on the sets, and everyone wants to give their best. Rachita wants to experiment with different characters in her future projects. “I will also be taking up a women-oriented script, the details of which I will reveal soon,” she signs off.
