Director Karthik Saragur, wrapped up the shoot of Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja at Kodachadri after a 13-day intense schedule. In Karthik’s directorial debut, cuisines and the memories they trigger take centre stage. “The entire film is based on six rasas--sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent, and the six characters represents six rasas,” he says.

The last schedule of the film saw the entire cast--Aravinnd Iyer, Achyuth Kumar, Arohi Narayan, Priyanka Thimmesh, child artistes Aadya and Chitrali— on the sets. Now, along with working on the film’s post-production, the director is simultaneously working on the teaser, which is likely to release on Varamahalakshmi festival. “We were lucky to complete the shoot before the monsoon sets in full swing, especially since most of the portions in this schedule had to be shot after sunset to match the mood of the storyline. We all burnt the midnight oil,” says Karthik.

The film sees Aravinnd playing the role of a passionate cook, Priyanka, a simple Christian girl, Sarah, and Aarohi donning an Iyengar girl, Vedavalli. Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja is being produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah, Rakshit Shetty and Hemanth M Rao. The music is by Charan Raj and cinematography by Ravindranath.
