THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Navya Nair, who has essayed umpteen roles with distinction on the silver screen, began playing the role of a wife in real life when she tied the knot with Santhosh N Menon at CKHSS ground, Cheppad in Haripad, on Thursday, in the presence of a galaxy of prominent persons from all walks of life.
It was a spontaneous emotional scene when Navya bowed down to touch the feet of veteran actor Thilakan seeking his blessings. Navya Nair is the only daughter of Raju, a BSNL employee and Veena, a school teacher, of Cheppad. Santhosh, son of Naryana Menon and Shantha Menon of Changanassery, is vice-president of a Mumbai-based exporting and importing firm of agro commodities.
