Salman Khan might play the lead role in the Hindi remake of Siddique’s Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’. There is speculation that the Hindi remake will have Deepika Padukone opposite Salman. The Malayalam version of the film, starring Dileep and Nayantara, was released in March this year. Siddhique is busy with the Tamil version of the film, which stars Asin and Vijay in the lead. The director had been getting a number of offers to remake the film in Hindi, but only Atul Agnihotri has managed to buy the rights from him. Siddhique will begin directing the Hindi version after completing the Tamil one.
Salman Khan has confirmed playing the lead role but Deepika is not sure yet. Shooting will commence on December 6 in Ranikhet.
