‘Christian Brothers’ likely on October 18

The Mohanlal-starrer that constantly kept running into hurdles is finally ready and will hit the theatres next month.

Malayalam director Joshy’s latest movie ‘Christian Brothers’ is setting the release date of the movie on October 18.

The movie is considered to be one of the biggest multi-starrers in Malayalam movies with stars like Mohanlal, Dileep, Sarath Kumar and Suresh Gopi in important roles. The director is shooting the final schedule at Kochi.

‘Christian Brothers’ is the story of a rich retired army officer called Palomattathu Varghese Mappila and his family. Megastar Mohanlal is essaying the role of Christy, who is an informer. Christy serves in Mumbai and earns good remuneration. Dileep is playing the role of his younger brother Joji, who has been sent to abroad for higher studies on theology.

The role of sisters of Christy and Joji is played by Kaniha and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy.

Writers Sibi K Thomas and Udaya Krishnan have written the story of the movie, which comes with many twists and turns. A V Anoop and Maha Subair have produced the movie, which has music by composer Deepak Dev.

Other actors like Kavya Madhavan, Lakshmi Rai, Manoj K Jayan, Babu Antony, Biju Menon and Suraj Venjaramoodu play other vital roles in the movie.

Director Joshi is known for his 'family-action' movies like ‘Vazhunnor’, ‘Pathram’, ‘New Delhi’, ‘Nair Saab’, ‘Kauravar’, ‘Dhruvam’ and ‘Twenty: 20’.
