KOCHI: An innocent youngster is mistaken by a mafia don for the murderer of his brother. The don orders his gang to kill him within 24 hours and thus starts a hurried manhunt. How the young man flees from the revengeful don and survives the time frame makes the storyline of 24 Hours. The script may sound like yet another man-on-the-run movie but copywriter-turned-filmmaker Aditya Sam Abraham says his debut venture is nothing short of the suspense and action of Hollywood films. “It was made on a low budget but the technical part is too perfect that it looks like a high budget production,” he says.

Aditya who studied  direction at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, had directed a commendable short film.

Debutant Kuldeep plays the hero in 24 Hours while  Bangalore model, Komal Jha, does the female lead. Manoj K Jayan appears as the mafia don. The cast has popular actors from Mollywood including Devan, Vinaya Prasad, Shammi Thilakan and Ani Murali. “Kuldeep was with me at Whistling Woods, a brilliant performer he was Naseeruddin Shah’s favourite student at the school,” says Aditya.  The filming was completed within two-and-a-half month, Ernakulam and Bangalore being the major locations. “The theme of the film was quite uncommon to the Malayali audience and it had above the mark technical perfection.  The climax scenes were shot with great perfection,” says Aditya. Though the film couldn’t find theatres in many places it could create a good impression on the  audience and the feedback has been very good so far, says the young filmmaker.  After 24, Hours Aditya’s next venture is an English film.  He has written the script for the film and will soon start filming it.
