KOCHI: The shooting of the muchawaited Mammoottystarrer 'Venicile Vyapari' is progressing in Alappuzha. Directed by Shafi, the movie unfolds the story of Pavithran, a coir merchant in Alappuzha, which is also known as the Venice of the East. Scripted by James Albert, the movie has late 1970's in the backdrop. 'Venicile Vyapari' will also see Kavya Madhavan pairing with Mammootty again after 'Ee Pattanathil Bhootham.'
The movie will also have Suraj Venjaramood, Salim Kumar, Poonam Bajwa, and Janardhanan in notable roles. The film is also the come back venture of Murali Films the producers of hit movies like 'Mazhayethum Munpe,' 'Chambakkulam Thachan' and 'Azhakiya Ravanan.' Sham Dutt handles the camera.
Bijibal renders music to the lyrics penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma. The movie is slated for a November release.
