THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Jagathy Sreekumar has won the Narendra Prasad Memorial award instituted by Narendra Prasad Foundation. The award winner was announced by film director and chairman of the foundation Jayaraj, at a press conference here.
Jayaraj said that it was the unmatched acting talent of Jagathy Sreekumar in film and theatre fields that fetched him the award. The award consists of Rs 15,000, memento and citation. Besides Jagathy Sreekumar, literary critic B Rajeevan also won the award for his contributions to the field of Malayalam criticism. This award consists of Rs 10,000, a memento and citation.
The awards will be distributed on December 26 at Mavelikkara.
