KOCHI: Realising the importance of online promotion, actors are looking to exploring more 'online' measures to woo their fans. The latest actor to join the online league is Jayaram who was awarded Padma Shri this year. His website www.jayaramonline.com was launched on Saturday.

The website, developed by Kochi-based De Valor Group, was launched by Mohanlal at Ramoji Film City. Dileep was also present on the occasion.

The interactive portal www.jayaramonline.com will have all the details about the actor. The home page features separate links to Jayaram's life and characters, new releases, upcoming movies and Jayaram's blog.

Users can also download trailors and videos of Jayaram along with wallpapers and photos. De Valor Group director Sanu Sathyan said more facilities would be provided in the website soon.

"I hope that the new website will help me access easily and interact with the movie buffs," Jayaram said. By launching the site, he said that he would be able to carry more philanthropic activities.

The actor is at present on the sets of the multistarrer China Town directed by Rafi Mecartin.

The shooting of 'China Town' is progressing in Hyderabad in which Mohanlal, Dileep and Jayaram are playing the lead roles.

Mammootty was the first Malayalam actor to launch a website of his own, www.mammootty.com, followed by Mohanlal's completeactor.com and Dileep's dileeponline.com.
